I would like to create an OS only rebuild. The OS is on my C drive. Data and programs are on seperate drives. Will a *.dr files be created if I do a full backup of the C drive only?

Hello,

Does the C drive contain the system files and entire system related information?

A *.dr file contains specific information for the
computer being protected, including:
* Hardware-specific information for each computer, such as hard disk partition
information (Windows 2000 and NT only), mass storage controller information, and
Network Interface Card information.
*A list of catalog entries that identify the backup media used to recover the computer.
* For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 computers, Windows Automated System Recovery (ASR) configuration information.

In case these details are there in the C drive, its backup will create the .dr file.

Revert in case of further questions on this.
