Daily Backup continues to run after backup completes

My scheduled Daily Full backup seems to complete after the right amount of time and byte count and ejects but continues to run. I have to cancel the job - then stop all services and restart services before I get control again, otherwise it just stays on Cancel Pending.

Have you checked the alerts tab to see if there are any Pending Alerts - Specifically the "Remove Media and Respond OK" one?

if so you can take a look at http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/192055.htm for some tweaks that will autorepond to alerts, including this one.

That is the alert message, however, I had to insert a second tape to finish the backup (+2GB) whereas it use to backup to one.
