Deinstallation BE2012 FATAL Error

Hallo,

ich möchte BE2012 auf einem WIndows 2008 32bit Std. deinstallieren.

Ganz am Ende kommt dann diese Meldung:

FATA ERROR: Der Ordner "C:" enthält ein ungültiges Zeichen

Auf C: ist aber alles in Ordnung:

chkdsk und sfc /scannow habe ich bereits gestartet.

Gibt es ein Tool mit dem man BE2012 komplet und sauber deinstallieren kann?

Hi Herry,

The error "FATAL ERROR: Der Ordner "C:" enthält ein ungültiges Zeichen" has possibly something to do with a wrong or unwanted registry entry. 

You can try either of these below steps as per your environment and convenience:

1. Try login to the server with a different user profile (either Domain Admin or Local Admin) and try the uninstallation.

2. You can try any third party registry cleanup tool (at your own risk), clean the unwanted registry entries and then try the uninstallation of Backup Exec. 

The article for manual uninstallation of Backup Exec: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH50720, was a public article but it has been officially removed  due to complexity involved in uninstallation of Backup Exec.

My best advice is, you better create a support case with Symantec for this issue.

How do you know the reason for the document's removal?  Are you a Symantec employee?

to 2.) I have use ccleaner but no positive effects

Have you any idear, about with key I' searching?

eventuell ist der Fehler nicht direkt auf C sondern in c:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Data\...

da scheint zumindest der Deinstallationsprozess zu scheitern.
