Dell LTO 122T partitions not getting recognized

DELL LTO 122T tape drive was connected to our backup exec server v.10. we used the drivers provided by backup exec installer. Its a 8 slot tape drive and has partitions configured through backup exec.
Under Devices, the partitions are correctly getting listed.
However, during the time creating backup jobs, we dont get to choose them such as for backupxyz job use drives through 1..3

we used to be able to do this when the same device was attached to our 8.6 server without a problem.

any thoughts? your help/suggestion is greatly appreciated.

try this:
In the devices tab, delete the slot partitions, then recreate the partitions. They should show up in the job setup.

We had to enable the device on the windows under removalbe storage and reinitialize it.

That worked.
