Devices offline

I recently moved our servers and our tape backup library and ever since the move the devices are not working within Backup Exec. I have a Spectra Logic 2k installed. It has worked fine until the move. The firmware is out of date on the drive, but I am in the process of updating it. I find it hard to believe firmware is an issue seeing as it worked before the move. I have connected everything as it was connected in it's previous location. I have done a full server shut down, turned the tape unit off. turned the tape unit on and waited for it to complete it's initial "boot" process before turning on the server. It is recognized via the SCSI controller (adaptec 29160) on POST and also within the Windows 2000 server hardware manager. The only thing I see is that the library is off line in the Devices tab. I am unable to find any way for the status to change. Any help, or more needed info please reply. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the answer. I am now getting device paused, but instead of posting it as a question, I am using search! Should have done that the first time sorry. Thanks again. I'll let you know if I run into any more issues.

I have spoken with Microsoft and they suggested it may be the following problem. I'm applying the fix, we'll see...

If you see these symptoms (sluggish performance, no internet, MMC not responsive )after a reboot, ask if they are running Powerchute. If they are, ask if it’s version 6.x and you can point them here to get it fixed: http://nam-en.apc.com/cgi-bin/nam_en.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_sid=1qAKEFMh&p_lva=6238&p_faqid=7202&p_created=1119891241&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9NDk1JnBfcGFnZT0x&p_li

What’s the problem? There’s a certificate for the java that drives PowerChute that expired on July 27th. The computer will continue to run with the expired certificate until it is rebooted, like after applying patch MS05-039. After that, APC is bonked, and nothing runs right on the system. Customers will believe they have been compromised.

I don't know what Power Chute has to do with this issue but I am still having issues.

Every time I try and run a backup, I get the device paused in the job monitor screen. I am unable to stop the RSM service. It will not stop, and will not disable. It just hangs when either is attempted. I have unchecked the two boxes in the RSM properties. Every time the server is rebooted, the drives appear offline to Backup Exec 9.1. Both devices, the drive and the library, are seen by the BIOS and the OS windows 2000 server. I am unable to initialize either, it says the robot is not responding. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
