Difficulty with Pre/post commands for backup jobs

KES
Level 2
Using BEWS11d for my backups, I am having difficulty with the use of pre-commands prior to job start.  In the pre-command setup, I am using the same syntax I use at command line; of course, command line works fine.  In order to avoid complication (or so I thought) I have avoided the use of 0/1 to denote success/failure of the command prior to the job.  At this point the pre-command is set to time out within 5 minutes.  From the command-line the task works in less than a minute to verify 30 computers are receptive to further instruction.

The task itself is to wake shutdown or sleeping computers. I am using the suggestion from http://www.windowsitpro.com/articles/print.cfm?articleid=20508.  If anyone has other suggestions how to perform this same function for easy use by BEWS, I am all ears.

Anyone have any suggestions?
