Dominio 8.5 needs to be restarted after a backup job with BackuExec 2010 R2

Dear support,

I'm having a relly strange issue with Backup Exec 2010 R2 and Domino 8.5.2

What happens is that after a successful job backup, users are not able to access to their mail databas with lotus Notes as it says that the database is in use from another application.

If I don't run the backup job, no one has problems.

Have you ever heard a problem like this?

when users open their Lotus Notes client, they get back the following error:

"Unable to create locations due to an error '

This database is currently being used by someone else. In order to share a Notes database, all users must use a Domino Server instead of a File Server'

I hope you are backing up using the Domino Agent. If you do, can you try to restart the remote agent service on the domino server and see if that helps and user are able to access Lotus Client

Also make sure all HFs is applied to BE and RAWS is also updated.

If you are backing up the Domino databases with the BE Domino agent, then you should select the Domino databases from the Lotus Domino Databases section and not from the C: drive.

Hi,

yes, I'm using Domino Agent as I can see the Domino Database in the selection list...

I've restarted the Service on Domino server but users still unable to access the mailbox...

What you mean with "all HFs is applied to BE and RAWS is also updated" ?
