Drives do not appear for selection on Remote Agent

Backup Server is Windows 2003 running 10.0.5484. Backing up an assortment of 2003/2000/NT with no problems except for one of my 2000 servers.

Problem is that none of the drives or the system state show up to be selected. Two admin shares do show up but are grayed out. A third normal share is available for selection.

Server Remote Agent verified to be 10.0.5484.30.
Removed and re-installed a few times. Server rebooted.
beremote.exe verified to be the only thing listening on port 10000.
When using the BackupExec GUI to view the Remote Agent, it shows as running, but does not display version information (other servers have no problem, including other 2000 servers).
Service is running as LSA.
logon account is in both the backup operators group and administrators group.

Any suggestions?

Both machines in the same domain?

Can you ping both ways by both IP and Name?

Is the 2K Server multi-homed?
Any type of firewall application running on the 2K Server?
Important too (as stated before), is the 2K Server running in the same domain and with the same DNS suffixes.

To resolve this issue, more input from you is required.

Hello,

Add the BE server name and IP address in the host file on the remote server and vice versa.
