Email Notifications stuck in SMTP Queue

Hi All,

I have configured BEW 11d to send SMTP notifications to myself regarding the nightly backup.  I have set this up countless times with no problems but today with a new Windows 2003 Small Business Server, which is also running Exchange 2003 I encountered a strange problem.

When I send a test mail to make sure BEW 11d can send SMTP notifications out without any problems - The mail gets stuck in the SMTP queue with the error The connection was dropped due to a SMTP Protocol Event Sink

Does anyone know why this is occurring?  Like I said I have set up this feature countless times and have encountered no problems at all until today that is.
