Error Message on Backups "Unable to load the job configuration information"

I have been receiving this error message the last couple of weeks. I looked through the knowledgebase and found the information on how to repair a database. Did that and it worked one time. Got the same error message the second day. Used the BEUtility to recover the database and this also wokred one time then received the same error message the second day.

Is there one more option I am missing to try or is there something else wrong with BackupExec?

I am running BE 9.1 Rev. 4691 on a Windows 2000 Server, SP4

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Did you try re-creating the job per http://support.veritas.com/docs/237046?

I have not tried the link you referenced. I will give that a try.

I actually downloaded and installed SP4 today, so I will not know whether that fixed the problem or not until the next backup this evening.

The backup has worked for two straight days after installing SP4 for version 9.1.

I will let you know if it fails anytime soon or not so I can confidently confirm it has fixed the problem.

The backup has worked now for 3 straight days, which it hasn't done for two weeks.

I'd say that the SP 4 fixed the problem I was having.
