Error - Not able to backup locally

For the last three months, I have had no problem backing up local files... Until last week. It appears to be looking for the remote agent, which I do not understand (since the software is local).

I've researched this web site and tried some of the suggested fixes and still have a problem.

Server is Win 2003; Backup is ver 10.

I would be very grateful for any advice.

Make sure that the Remote agent is running under LSA (Local system account) and also try to backup a single file after putting the RA in debug mode and see if you could get a hint from the debug and please post your observations in beforums here.

Shut down all third party applications(and their services) before doing this test to isolate the issue.
