Hi
We use Symantec Backup exe 12.5 and ATL M1500 Quantum Tape library for backing our servers. It was working fine.
I have to shutdown all the servers for power maintenance. After powering up the servers and the tape library.I did a test backup to make sure the Backup exec is interacting and working with the ATL M1500 . But the back is failing when i went to the device manager it shows Mxxxx with yellow exclamation triangle on it saying Unknown Medium changer.
I dont know if the sequence of power shutdown was not proper . Or do i need to install the driver again. If it is the driver which driver would it be?
Any links to install respective drivers will be appreciated.
Thanks

The library should show up in the Device Manager as an Unknown Medium Changer with a Microsoft driver. A yellow exclamation mark means that it is not functioning correctly. Right-click on the deivice and re-install the driver. If it is still not functioning correctly, you got to contact the vendor to help you install it correctly. The library must be functioning correctly in the Device Manager before BE can use it.
