Error Verifying Job

I'm trying to setup a new backup server using BE 10.0.

I'm getting the following error during the verification part of any backup job I run:

"The data being read from the media is incosistent"

I've installed the latest service pack for BE and tried 4 different tapes. I've even run diagnostics on the tape drive and everything comes back clean.

I'm out of ideas and I'm getting to the point where I really NEED to get this working. Can anyone help?

interestingly enough, it looks as though I can actually restore good copies of the files it reports as being in error.....

Any clue what's going on?

Try Checking the cables if the cable connected with the backup device has a teminator at the end of the scsi cable (only if it needs one!)
i got the same problem here.
