Error on Backup

I have Backup Exec 10.1 SP4.  Recently my Sony AIT2 drive failed.  I replaced it today and when I try to run a backup I get the following message:
Completed status: Failed Final error: 0xe00084d9 - There was an error processing the on tape catalogs. Final error category: Backup Media Errors.

I have checked the free space on the catalog drive (>30 GB), the permissions on the Catalog folder (system,Full  all of the BE services run under system) and I am stuck.

I have scheduled a reboot of the server for this evening to see if the problem resolves.

Hi,
please try, whether it helps just to open the job and select your new drive as the target. Sometimes, this is the only problem, producing the strangest error messages.

I have deleted the old drive and connected the backup to the new drive.  I will see if the backup runs overnight after the reboot this evening.
