Error when backing up to Overland REO 1500 Virtual Tape Drives

I get the following error:

0xe00084ca - The data being read from the media is inconsistent.

I've already looked at http://support.veritas.com/docs/273455 and found it unhelpful.

I'm running 11d 7170 with Hot Fixes 3, 4, and 5.

I've also run this through Overland Tech Support and they said I needed to work the issue through Symantec.

Has anyone else seen this problem?  Any advise?
