Hello,
If the below registry key is not at the default setting of "1" (one), the "Duplicate backup sets following a job" could fail with the above error.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\VERITAS\Backup Exec\Engine\Tape Format\Use Fast File Restore\
To bring the above registry key back to the default setting of "1" (one), the following will need to be done on the media server:
1. Stop all Backup Exec services
2. Open REGEDT32
3. Edit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\VERITAS\Backup Exec\Engine\Tape Format\Use Fast File Restore\ to show the value of 1
4. Start all Backup Exec services again.
The above Registry Key could have been set to 0 (zero) to trouble-shoot certain restore and catalog issues.
Warning: Incorrect use of the Windows Registry Editor may prevent the operating system from functioning properly. Great care should be taken when making changes to a Windows Registry. Registry modifications should only be carried-out by persons experienced in the use of the Registry Editor application. It is recommended that a complete backup of the registry and computer be made prior to making any registry changes.
