An exchange server failed completely due to a hardware failure. I have setup another exchange 2003 server in the same Organisation group (the old non existant server is still listed). Ive told exchange to redirect to the new server but when I run a restore nothing happens. It sits there running but no byte count. It creates a folder in c:\temp ok but the file size is zero.
I also dismounted the Private and Public mailbox stores manually but still no joy.
Its backup exec 11d latest build and Exchange 2003 SP2 standard. Restoring from tape.
Any ideas?
