Exchange 2003 Mailbox Restore

When trying to restore a mailbox to Exchange 2003 I am receiving this error -

Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xa0008488 - Access is denied.

Final error category: Security Errors

In the job setup I am selecting to automatically create the user account and mailbox. The user account and mailbox have been deleted, and therefore I am assuming this option should recreate the user account and mailbox.

I am using the same resource credentials I am using for the backups. The account I am using has Exchange full admin rights, and additionally I have granted the mailbox full mailbox rights by removing the deny send/receive as per MS KB 821897. The account also is a member of domain admins, enterprise admins, and schema admins and has full admin rights to the server itself as well as Exchange.

The backup server is located in a different domain, and the backup exec service account on the media server is an account from that domain.

Any ideas as to why this is not working?
