Backup Exec 9.1 and Symantec AntiVirus Slow backup

I recently upgrade AV from v9 to v10. Since doing so the back time of our exchange server has doubled in time and the transfer rate has slowed down by half. In the Symantec AV I have exclusions for real-time scanning that were setup when using Sym AV 9.0.

So why do my backups take twice as long? What modifications do I need to make either on backup exec or Antivirus side?

Hello,

You may either stop the antivirus scans during backup or exclude the files being backed up from the scan selection.
