Exchange 2007 agent / BE 2010

I recently upgraded a customer's back up exec deployment to BE 2010 and now they can't backup their Exchange server, which in all previous versions they've had it's worked without a  problem.

They have 2 servers:
Server1 has BE 2010 on it. It also has the Exchange Agent installed here.

Server2 has exchange 2007 - Has the windows agent install but not the exchange agent

I figured that the exchange server would need the exchange agent installed but i have tried every way I can think of
and can't figure out how to get it installed on the exchange box. The agent doesn't show up under TOOLS > Install other agents on this and remote computers.

When I try to create a job to backup exchange the info stores just don't show up for that computer. Under the backup job that got upgraded, the info stores
are still listed but when I run a test it says that they aren't found.

I've spent sooo much time on this, which seems like it should be a really easy problem to solve.
Any help would be appreciated.

First you need to install the remote agent for Windows, probably in this case the updated one with BE2010.

To do that, you can do it from the TOOL>>Cant recall exact verbage here..  Or even easier, go to the RAWS32 or RAWS64 (depending on your OS) directory on the media server (search for it, it's not hard, it's within the installation directory of BE), and just install those while logged into the Exch server itself.

Thanks for your quick response!
I already had the Remote agent for windows installed on the exchange box but, I reinstalled from the directory that you listed above (RAWS64) but unfortunately no change.

Shouldn't the Exchange Remote agent be installed on the EXCHANGE server?

I can backup the files on the exchange server but still not the Info stores, which is what I need.

The remote agent IS the Exchange agent.  They are one in the same.  It's the license keys installed on the BE Media server, that unlock the functionality for Excahnge, SQL, Vmware, etc...

You do have the license for Exchange installed, and the Exchange feature installed right?

Thanks again for your reply and information.
Yes, I have the license key installed but i'm not exactly sure what you mean by exchange  feature.
During setup I did select what I believe said "Remote agent for exchange" which was then installed locally on
the BE server. Is there something else that I missed?

Also, on the remote agent options pop up, there are several tabs, but exchange isn't one of them. Should it be?

Thanks to both of you for your help.
I really appreciate that people like you take the time to help out on these forum boards!

RahulG - I installed the hotfix and now the exchange server's info stores are available for selection.
I'll post back if something goes south after tonight's backup but everything seems OK now.

Thanks again for your help!
