Wanted to let support know that we had been having long pauses between information stores after migrating to Exchange 2007.
Found by unselecting the Public folders selection and selecting it under the information store itself, what were 7-9hr backkups are completing in 2.5hrs!
Actually had an error occur stating that the Public folders couldn't be backed up, some credentials issue. In checking we noticed we had the Public Folders selected 'outside' of the information store but noticed they were also listed within, selected them there and unchecked the root level selection.
Believe it may have been having some type of timeout between each information store where things just held with no progress for 45 minutes. After the change the time between is less than 2 min.
