Exchange Store Service Not responding

I am running Backup Exec 2012, Ver. 14. 1798, Service Pack 3. Hotfix 213186. I received the following error messages when attempting to run a full backup:

"V-79-57344-65298 - The Exchange Store service is not responding. Backup set canceled.

V-79-57344-65072 - An error occurred while connecting to the Backup Exec Remote Agent on the Backup ...

Backup
V-79-57344-65301 - The System State resource is not responding. Backup set canceled."

Would recommend to apply SP4 and HF 215906 so that the BE media server is upto date and then update the remote servers as well.

What is the version of Exchange and are there any events relating to a Backup Exec service failure/crash at the media server or the exchange server's application logs ?
