Exchange backup does not clear log files

I'm running BUE 2010 R3 and backing up Exchange 2007.  I'm doing a full backup (db & logs) which should flush the exchange logs but they continue to grow each day.

Attached is a screen shot of the exchange settings on the backup job.

Thanks

Is circular logging enabled in Exchange?

You have to disable it in order to flush the logs

Exchange Transaction Logs do not get flushed after a full Backup of Exchange Information Store when used with Advanced Open File option.

Thanks for the response.

Circular logging is not enabled for either the mailbox store or the public store.

Wow I just realized a huge issue.  I'm backing up the exchange server but not the Information store.  In fact the information store is not available in the backup selections list.  I went through the article below to no avail and also reinstalled the agent.  I haven't been able to to a reboot although BUE did not say it needed on after I pushed the agent install.

Hmm

Has this ever worked?

You obviously have the RAWS installed on the Exchange Server or you couldn't get flat files.  Have you tried removing it, booting and reinstaling?

Have you verified that the Exchange agent is properly installed?

I do have RAWS installed.  I uninstalled and re-pushed out the agent.  Same result.  I haven't had a chance to re-boot yet.  I put the agent in debug mode and found quite a few dlls that couldn't be found.  Here is just a selection of the debug log.

It seems that this is a somewhat common problem but there doesn't seem to be a common solution.

Do you have a license for the Exchange Agent installed on the Backup Exec media server? You have to have that in addition to the Remote Agent on the Exchange box.
