Exchange backup fail on Backup Exec 12.

Backup issue with exchange store UMEBAEX02 fail due to communication failure.  It seem to be a hit and miss situation.  Backup would start and functioning but error out during the process. The job log error in the backup server states "V-79-57344-65072 - The exchange store service is not responding. Backup set canceled."
Currently system is an dell 2650 with backup exec 12.0 SP3 on windows server standard 2003.  It is backing up to tape via SCSI.
Any ideas?

Hi Tim,

I'd suggest uninstalling the RAWS agent on that Exchange server, and then pushing it out again from your media server as the first point of troubleshooting.
Once done, make sure it's publishing correctly to your media server.
Run the job again, and see if it gives you the same error message.

Thanks CraigV for the suggesting, I will have to schedule this tasking with the site due to this being a production server and can’t afford much down time.  I will give it a try and update the results.
