Exchange backup-to-disk creating IMG dir with exact replica of files

Hi.

If i set a backup to a backup-to-disk folder instead of creating a .bkf file with the whole content of the Exchange dirs it simply makes a copy of everything to a dir called IMG000**.

Is this normal ?

Why can't i change the media type from IMG to B2D ?

Because the job contains GRT data (You have selected "enable restore of individual items" in the job setup)

GRT backups are hadnled differently than standard backups, so apparently, Symantec made a design decision to use different naming conventions so that you can tell by looking at it whether a backup contains GRT or not
