Hello all.
I have an exchange job and it works fine, however when I tick the "Enable the restore of individaul mail messages and folders from the Information Store backups" the job fails with the following error:
Job ended: 19 September 2008 at 12:13:21
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe0008488 - Access is denied.
Final error category: Security Errors

Access denied to database .
The job actually records data (the byte count is near on 50gb), but just has an auth issue at the end?
If I run a resource credentials test on the job properties, it passes.

What is the version of exchange? what is the operating system on exchange?
Appply http://support.veritas.com/docs/307711 hotfix and repush the remote agent on exchange server.
And see if it helps.

Hello all.
I've now upgraded my version of 11d from build 6230 to build 7170. The symantec support agent said this would fix the problem, however it has now.
I am now going to try to delete the job and re-create from scratch to see if this bypasses the "Access Denied" error on backup of the Exchange.
FYI - Exchange is 2003 version 6.5 Build 7638:2 Service Pack2
