I have a bunch of D2D backup sets, that have expired. However, BU Exec does not delete them from the disk, as they have sets that are dependent on them, duplicated on tape.
I am running a "Full" + "Differentials" backup cycle. Each Full and its dependent Differentials are immediately duplicated on tape. Thus, they could be deleted from the disk. But BU Exec retains the Fulls on disk, as the subsequent Differentials on tape have dependency to the disk based Full. But the dependency should be towards the Full duplicated on tape - not the disk-based.
How can I set up the DLM so, that the tape duplicates do not keep the sets on disk from being deleted after expiry?

Hi Jukka,
Please refer to article.100011865 below:
https://isearch.veritas.com/internal-search/en_US/article.100011865.html
As Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) Rules, DLM does not delete the last copy of the latest recovery point chain. A duplicate on tape based storage is not considered a copy.
