Export configuration

Hi folks.

I am in the process of planning a migration to BE 2010R3 and would like to know if it is possible to export the current configuration I have in 11D; jobs and selections, device information, etc.

I apologize if this has been asked and answered previously ;)

Thanks in advance for any and all answers.

James

If you are planning to upgrade on the same server then just proceed with the installation of R3.

The database will upgraded from 11d to 2010 R3 and all the information will be retained.

Do make a copy of DATA and CATALOGS folder before proceeding with the upgrade

If you are planning to upgrade and migrate to a different server then refer to the below link

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH67296

Step #9 is the most important don't miss it.

You can updated your current setup directly to BE 2010:

Thanks for the links!

The existing server is going to be wiped and 2008R2 will be installed with 2010R3 as the new version of BE. I was thinking if I stop the BE services, copy out the catalogue and data folders and then wipe and reload, thing would work as described in TECH67296

The only other consideration is that the BEMig instructions at http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH50537 are not available...

It's all good now. The link to the page appears to be working.

Thanks again.
