External Tape Loader

I have FastStor DLT8000 that I can not get my server to recognize. In the device manager I have a code 12, but can not find any fix on the MS website. I have attached this tape loader to two different servers and get the same error.

Does anyone have any idea?

I have done the requested and upgraded to 9.1 and loaded the remaining updates that Veritas showed as available. If there any remaining that you know that I should install please let me know. I did allow Veritas to use it's drivers for tape libraries. I am still having the issue that I was.

In my device manager under IDE controllers, I have a secondary IDE channel with a yellow cirle/exclamation point, that is trying to use IRQ 15. I am not able to change it to a different IRQ. I am thinking that this is what is causing me not to be able to see the tape library. Veritas does not see it and the Windows Server 2003 software does not either. I have searched at Microsoft's website with the following and get information for toshiba laptops:

This device can not find enought free resources that it can use (Code12).

I am stumped. I have attached this library to two different Windows Server2003 machines and have the exact same issue, so it must be software related. Also, the tape drive was repaired recently and did work several times and then stopped.

Got any more good suggestions? I do appreciate the ones you gave!

Hello,
Please try using another port, check the scsi cable and termination. Also follow the hardware manufacturers manual for hardware settings.
