Restoring Data

I have data that was backed up in a previous installation of Veritas. The Server 2003 software had to be completely re-installed in order to fix other networking issues. After re-installing Veritas on the same computer, I am unable to restore foldres that are on my tape. It's like if it doesn't recognize the tape unless it was created with the new installation. I need to get the data from the tape. Please help.

Have you performed an inventory and the catalog operation?
