Extremely slow incremental backup on Exchange 2010

I recently set up a brand new microsoft exchange 2010 environment. I am using Backup exec 2010 with the exchange 2010 agents.  Pretty basic.  2 servers.  About 20 databases between them.  900 GIG total backup on the weekly.  The weekly runs at about 900 MB a minute, which I can live with.

What I cannot live with is the incremental during the week goes anywhere from 14 MB a minute to 90 MB a minute, which is unacceptable.  Symantec has given me answers like it has to walk to the tree to find the changes, but 90 MB a minute at the max?  And most of the time it is 30 MB a minute.

Does anyone else have these extremely slow incremental backups on their exchange 2010 environments?  Any info on how to increase the speed would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I guess this was fix in 2010  http://support.veritas.com/docs/315545

Thanks RahulG

I don't like doing more than one full a week, so I will go on and try the uncheck the GRT option on the daily incrementals.

It seems that if there is any significant amount of change (new data) in the Exchange database before the incremental backup, the backup will take a lot longer than if a full backup was done on the database.

The link here says that it will be better in Backup Exec 2010 http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/315545.htm, but I think that maybe it isn't.

Turning off GRT to "fix" it sounds like a bad idea.

BE2010 R2 is coming out very very soon...  That will have numerous fixes within it.  Hopefully it's fixed for you there...
