Hello,

When I go to tools > serial numbers and installations.. the installer for veritas doesn't come up. If you go into the event viewer... the error below gets logged.

Anyone have any idea's?

Hey,

Thanks for your response, I click on the msi file off the cd and it starts right up into the install..

Do I have to reinstall veritas? or just copy that msi file into a directory?

Hello Mike,

Were you able to install from tools--serial numbers? As per the technote if you have copied the file have you successfully reinstalled Backup Exec? In case the problem persists, you can write back to the forum. However if we do not receive your intimation within two business days, this post would be assumed answered and archived.
