We have a SBS 2003 server running Backup Exec 10d. About a week ago, we started receiving backup errors related to SQL.

Completed status: Failed

Both SQL services are started. We've tried restarting them, but still receive this error. We are getting the following error in the Application Event logs:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Event Type:Error
Event Source:Backup Exec
Event Category:None
Event ID:34113
Date:2/16/2007
Time:12:05:40 AM
User:N/A
Computer:GYNSRV
Description:
Backup Exec Alert: Job Failed
(Server: "GYNSRV") (Job: "Full Backup") Full Backup -- The job failed with the following error: Unable to attach to a resource. Make sure that all selected resources exist and are online, and then try again.

We've verified that Administrator is the System Logon Account and that Administrator has full rights to the SQL databases.
If you look at the text based selection list of the backup job, the 2 following items are listed:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
GYNSRV|*.*
GYNSRV\BKUPEXEC|*.*
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But if you view the graphical selection list, no SQL items are listed at all. Nor are they listed if you try to create a new selection list.
Somehow the ability of Backup Exec to see/access SQL items has broken and I'm not sure what to do to fix it, other than a full reinstall of the Backup Exec software.Message was edited by:
