File exclusion question

Is it possible to exclude any file with a specific name, regardless of path?  I'd like to exclude the thumbnail database, thumb.db, wherever they exists in my multi-server backup jobs.

Thanks

Yes, you can use wildcards in file selection or exclusion

See http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/299299.htm

In your case I'd try a path of \\*\*\**

(any server, any share, any path on the share)

I hope this is what you mean, but when you open a selection list, there is an include/exclude button right there, and you can specify "Include subdirectories". The only caveat is that from what I can see, you have to do this for every drive separately (C, D, etc), and you can't just select a whole server. It still is very fast to set up this way even if you had 100 drives across all your servers. After you set them, you can click on "View Selection Details" and you should clearly see what was excluded.

I hope this is what you meant.
