Final error: 0xa000fe29 - Authentication failed on connection to the server

Access is denied to the remote agent. Check the login account for the specified device.

The above error is created for 5 of my machines. 4 of 5 are Windows XP Pro SP2 and the other one is Windows 2000 SP4. I have manually loaded the backup agent to each machine. When I check the job log, the same five machines fail the backup. I have about 25 other server and workstation (XP, 2003, 2000 & NT) that I back daily with not issues. I would appreciate any assistance or help into the write direction. If I haven't provided enough information, please contact me at Pduthely@lifeplansinc.com

Hello,

Check the right the backup exec account has, it should be member of domain admin group. Also check the service account credentials.
