Finding Serial / Customer Numbers

Hi

We have a number of clients which have had Backup Exec installed, ranging from 12.5 to 2014.

I am working to try get everyone licensed on subs and updated to 2014.

We took on a bunch of these clients from another IT company which went bust, so have no documentation of Serial Numbers (same as Customer Numbers) or Contract info etc.

I can see what options they have installed, but struggling to find the Serial/Customer/Contract number (which do I need, are they the same thing?) to get a quote from our distributor.

Also, is there a time limit to getting Subs renewed?

I.E If a client bought 12.5 back when it was the latest release, and never renewed since, can I simply get a renewal to update to 2014 or will they need to purchase it from scratch at full price?
