Firewall, failed to access, the item was not found.

Hi

Have a problem with access to a server outside a firewall.

This is the error occurs on the Media server, when trying to select DMZ:

"Logon Acount "DMZ\administrator" failed to access "\\10.10.10.10". The item was not found."

From the debug-log on DMZ, further below, I can see that connection is etablished.
But for some reason I get the above mentioned error.

Have without success searched Veritas websitefor this error.

Can anyone help me ???

How many ports should be open in the firewall ?

Hi again

I forgot to mention:

Server OS: Windows 2003
Firewall: MS ISA 2004.

NETBIOS is not enabled on the server, so this technote is not possible.

Question:

Is NETBIOS a must on media server and remote agent ??

Shouldn't be if you have entries in the HOSTS files pointing each way on each server.

I have checked the configuration in all the technotes mentioned.

None of it helps.

Neither does it help to add the IP & name in hosts.

New question:

What is the requirements of using remote agents ??

Do RPC-ports have to be open ??

Have solved the problem ...

On the server with the Remote Agent i had to enable "File and print sharing for Microsoft Network".
