I would like to remove all files and folders before a deduplication folder is deleted intending on re-creating and starting off clean. Is "wholesale delete" a good way to go to accomplish the task?
I'm on a third call for deduplication related issues primarily space where contents of the deduplication folder is becoming questionable.
Any thoughts would be welcomed.
I would like a "clean" running BE before going to 2012.

Yes it would...you're erasing everything in there.

Hi,
You can erase the dedupe folder from within BE. This will expire all the necessary files in there.
Once done, delete the dedupe folder from within BE, and then delete from disk in Windows Explorer.
If the drive is dedicated to dedupe, you can then look at trashing it and recreating it as per the TNs below:

Thanks for the rapid response.
After deletion is capacity restored/returned?
My dedupe folder is on SAN is 5.7 tb
I am doing fulls tonight and this weekend (34 jobs that start at 5pm) which I've been babysitting for going on 3 weeks.
