GRT on Hyper-V Linux VM

Hi Guys just a quick one,

There is a linux machine (CentOS 6.5 with Hyper-V integration tools installed) hosted on a Hyper-V host. The Hyper-V host is being backed up using BE 2014 and Hyper-V agent. Is it possible to do a file restore of the CentOS VM the same way as can be done on a phisical Linux server running RALUS?

Unfortunately Centos is not supported by Backup Exec see the Backup Exec 2014 SCL: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH217478

There is already an idea for support in the ideas section but you can go here and https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/backup-and-recovery/ideas

Even if the Linux variant is supported, you cannot do GRT restores with Linux VM's. To restore individual files/folders you need to backup these VM's as if they are physical machines

That idea has been incorrectly marked as "Already Offered" and requests to correct that misclassification are being ignored, so I doubt anything will come of it.
