HP 1x8 G2 Autoloader initialie Problem

Hello ,

i have prepared a new backup server. After two weeks i renamed this Server(sry)after it i getting this error message. I follow the instruction from symantec to resolve this issue. But it is not working. Can anybody give me a tip to handle this issue ?

HP DL360 G7 - Firmware and Driver Up-to-Date

H221 SAS Adapter -> HP 1x8 G2 LTO6 Loader

iSCSI(MCS using) mapped LUN for Deduplicated Storage 

Windows 2012 R2 Up-to-Date

Backup Exec 2014 SP2 Hotfixed

Jobs B2D and B2dD are working, most of B2T Jobs also running but not in clean state.

 

Message One:

(Server: "SERVER") Backup Exec was unable to initialize and communicate with the device [HP 1x8 G2 AUTOLDR 4.30] (The system cannot find the path specified.). Click the link below for more information on how to diagnose the problem.

1) Delete the tape library and tape drive from BE 2) Stop the media server and the library 3) Start the tape library 4) Start the media server 5) Ensure that the library and tape drive is recognised and functioning correctly in the Windows Device Manager. The library should appear as an Unknown Medium Changer with a Microsoft driver and the tape drive should have a Symantec driver. 6) In BE, install the library if necessary. 7) Try again.

@Sry, i wrote System is Up-to-Date

i follow the instruction from "pkh" ....

1. Delete Media Server and Library

2. Stop Media Server

3. Stop Library

4. Delete Device in Windows Device Manager (Device was listet two times with original HP Driver)

5. Reboot the System

6. Windows Device Manager listet both parts as Unknow Device, two times too.

7. Open BackupExec Console

8. Robotic Library was listet without "Configure Storage"

9. Same Time Windows Device Manager listed both parts as Unknow Device, two times too.

10. Reboot System again

11. Windows Device Manager listed both parts as Unknow Device, two times too.

12. Open BackupExec Console

13. running discovering device ........

14. Check "Live Update" Up-to-Date

15. No positive changes

18. reboot system

19. Use Discover.exe to find second Registry Entry

20. Find and Delete the doubled Registry Key

21. reboot System

22. install HP Driver for one device LTO and DAT

23. Both Device listed too. One with Unknow Device one with HP AUTOLDR 1x8 .....

24. Start to try Inventory in BackupExec 2014

--> Use mode Driver

25. Inventory Process is Ready in Green State

26. make System Update check and make reboot for final LTO Test

27. Stop BE Service and start LTTools - OK Passed

28. discovering devices is back ...... long time .......

28. Start B2T Job for testing

 

Jobs are running but Problem is not solved ......
