The first thing to do is to update the software and/or the Backup Exec device drivers by first running LiveUpdate from the Tools menu in Backup Exec.

If you want to manually download the drivers, determine your build of Backup Exec 11d from the Help menu and choosing About Symantec Backup Exec.

My system is reporting the same messages at medium change events:

07.07.25 18:58:15.72  Library Error - IR: drive media removal prevented

The media server is 11d (7170-x64), HF3 is installed. The server controls the library without any problem, but the library is always sending the error message.

I'm wondering whether it could be a library driver problem? In device manager I can see the medium changer has HP driver (ver 1.6.0.0). Should it find a driver from Symantec instead? Is it available at all?
