Hanging... Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group.

I am backing up multiple machines.

One machine has exchange, which is fine. However one machine has 2000 small business server (which comes with exchange but it is not being used). This machine indicates under Backup selections that it is NOT backing up the Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group. (its not even an option) However when you view the Resource Order it shows that it is.

When the backup runs it gives us an error because it cannot connect

Unable to attach to \\SERVERNAME\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group.
V-79-57344-33932 - Unable to attach to a resource. Make sure that all selected resources exist and are online, and then try again.


Is there a way to solve this issue?

Do you mean that the exchange services are stopped when you say that the exchange is not being used?

Yes exchange services are stopped.

We have another server that has exchange 2003 (running and is working properly) We have the Exchange Backup License

Solved!

I found that the solution had been posted after some searching,

...by editing the selection list in Text mode and delete the Exchange entries.

It probably is important to note that the text mode could probably resolve similar errors to this.
