Hanging problem!

hello for all,
we were using veritas along time ago with a del machine without any problems but suddenly we expert some problems such as:
-slow response
-but the most effective one is that the job is suddenly hanging without any error message or alert.
-bad reading of the tapes(labels)alot of slots appear as if they are cleaning ones while no cleaning tape at all in the device.

Our case is too urgent so please your help

Hello,

Since there are no errors in event logs or any alerts perhaps there is corruption in the database you can try running a repair installation of backup exec.
