Hotfix installation & SP1 for BkupExec 9.1. rev 4691

Hi,

I have BkupExec 9.1. rev 4691 on w2003 and exchange with four remote agents.

For the life of me i can't work out which hotfixes to install. I've installed SP1 which doesn't include hotfix 1,5,7,10,13,16 or anything higher than hotfix 17 despite being released recently. Am I supposed to download 30 hotfixes independently and install them or just install the security related ones?

I can't use veritas automatic installation as the windows 2003 IE enhanced security config won't let me.

I appreciate any advice on this matter as I'm completely confused.

Thanks, Joe.

The way I do it is intall all the hotfixes that are available by the release date starting with the older ones.
I know the IE stuff in W2K3, here is the address http://softwareupdate.veritas.com/be/welcomepage.jhtml and when the security thing comes up in IE click Add and add http://*.veritas.com and that should take care of everything thing you want to access on the veritas' website. This page will show you under "List Updates" the available updates and the installed updates for your backup exec.
Hope this helps.

Hi,

Its true that SP1 does not contain some hotfixes. However, it is recommended to apply these hotfixes only if you are facing a issue which the hotfix addresses.
