Every night the server here at work is backed up to a different USB drive (we have about 20 in rotation) and carried off site for a week. The boss wants me to write up a how-to guide on restoring data from these USB drives while he is at his house or somewhere else in case the server crashes and we need to get files from the backup. The problem is that I can't for the life of me figure out how to inventory/catalog a B2D folder. I've been creating a new B2D device pointing to the USB drive and inventorying it but it doesn't appear to do anything. Symantec help might as well be written in Greek as it makes no sense whatsoever. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.
