How do you scan new media into BackupExec?

backup8
Level 2

Hi I was expecting backupexec to scan the media I inserted this morning... they are new media, not registered yet with backup exec's DB.

How do I tell it to look for new media and add to DB?

These tapes will be assigned to a media set I need them for.

BackupExec 20.0.1188.2718

Run an Inventory on the tapes and they should show up in BE. The Inventory will read the tape header and make a record in backup exec database and then console shows them. Let them remain in scratch media set --> Set the media set in the job and they would automatically be assigned to those media set.
