How does CPS parse through a protected filesystem?

Scott_Barbee

I'm protecting several file servers with CPS (11d) using the continuous schedule. How does CPS identify what files have changed in order to back them up? Does it start from the top of the folder structure and work its way down? Is there a mechanism that says "this file changed, back it up"? Does it continually scan through the disk to see if anything changes?

Thanks,
Scott

It continously replicate the changes ..its just replicating immediately . It uses filter drivers so any file u change or create is replicated simultaneously ..

So to make sure I understand: once CPS makes its first pass through the filesystem using continuous protection, the filter driver "captures" any I/O operations and replicates the actions from the protected server to the protection server.
