I'm running 12.0.1364.0 on a 32 bit Ubuntu 8.10 server. User management is done via likewise-open to use Active Directory on my Windows domain. I can log in fine as the domain user that we use for backups using SSH and SMB, but the backup server can't connect to beremote using this username. It doesn't seem to be using pam to check for the user, just the local passwd file, where the user isn't. It works if I connect as a local nonkerberized account.
Can anyone point me at how to enable alternate authentication methods in Backup Exec on Linux (Kerberos/Active Directory in particular)?
