How to Upgrade DLO from Backup Exec 2010 R3 - 2012

Hi,

We have a existing setup running like Backup Exec 2010 R2 with DLO running, Now we would like to upgrade the software to BE2012.

May i know the procedures?

Where i can download the DLO 7.0 - Seperately.

Shall i use the same server to install the both BE2012 and DLO 7.0 ( currently we are using the single server)

If we can use the same server which one can be installed first?

what are the upgrade procedures?

How about the profiles, Storage and userassignments of the current DLO?

What are the impacts to achieve the same?

kindly clarify those to move forward.

You can download DLO from the www.backupexec.com.  Click on the link in the trialware box.

You should upgrade your DLO before upgrading to BE 2012 which does not have DLO.

You should be able to install both products on the same server.

Thanks for you update.

I Agree with your valid points and i have also simulated inmy Lab environment before proceeding the Live envoronment.

I have successfully upgraded the Backup exec DL) to Symantec DLO with Existing SQL database and user name and profiles.

But i am facing some issues in restoring the previous backup sets and updating the clients.

Please find the attachment i am unable to expand the computer to restore the data.

So requesting you to provide me any official document for upgrading the DLO with keeping the existing db without any affects.

Help me on this.
