Using BackupExec 12 for Windows, I modified the standard GFS Rotation policy and I'm trying to create jobs from it. The problem is that I can't find a way to automatically schedule the last weekday of the month.
Our GFS rotation strategy is as follows:
4 Daily tapes (Mon-Thurs) rotated each week;
4 End-of-Week tapes (Friday-1 thru Friday-4) rotated in succession;
12 End-of-Month tapes (Jan-DEC) rotated annually;
The EOM jobs supercede the EOW jobs, which supercede the Daily jobs.
I can schedule a particular calendar day, the last day of the month of even the last Staurday or Sunday of the month. But the customer is only in the office on weekdays and can't insert the tapes on other days. How can I edit the End-Of-Month policy schedule to automatically select the last weekday of the month?
It seems to me that if I use "Recurring Weekdays" and select "Last", Mon, Tues, Weds, Thu, Fri, the EOM backup will try to run on each of those days in the last week of the month. I only want it to run on the last weekday. How do I select that?
